**Job Summary:**  

The Safety and Compliance Specialist will oversee the compliance and safety protocols for drivers and transportation personnel. This includes monitoring adherence to DOT regulations, conducting safety audits, ensuring licensing and certifications are up to date, and developing training programs to promote industry-best practices.  

**Key Responsibilities:**  

- **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure that all drivers meet Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other applicable safety standards.  

- **Audits and Inspections:** Conduct regular audits of driver records, logs, and credentials to ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.  

- **Safety Training:** Develop and implement safety training programs for drivers, focusing on defensive driving, hazard recognition, and regulatory updates.  

- **Incident Investigation:** Investigate safety incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.  

- **Documentation Management:** Maintain accurate records of driver certifications, safety training, and compliance reports.  

- **Client Collaboration:** Work closely with client companies to ensure their safety and compliance expectations align with our processes.  

- **Policy Development:** Assist in developing and updating safety and compliance policies to reflect changes in industry regulations.  

- **Support Recruitment Team:** Collaborate with recruiters to ensure candidates meet safety and compliance requirements before placement.
